Medical exam app

Students must take a re-sit after leaks answers blunder

Red-faced officials at Kings College London were forced to make 420 students re-take a medical exam after it emerged "about 60%" of the final paper was lifted from a phone app.

After investigation, it emerged the author of the App was the same person who set the exam. The students affected will re-take the exam in 10 days time.

The problem highlights the growing concern facing all examiners - how to cope with an ever-increasing availability of instant information available at everyone's fingertips.

Until now, this was just the "pub quiz" scenario, where unscrupulous players would just Google the answers under the table. However, with the medical industry this is a great deal more serious since along the line peoples lives could depend of the competency of the person being relied on.
